Description:
My client is seeking an experienced and motivated Audio DSP researcher to join their team of Researchers, Signal Processing Engineers and Applications Programmers developing embedded software that is deployed inside your favourite audio devices. The role involves working with other team members on research projects that develop new IP and Algorithms for Cirrus products. The candidate will be an integral team player and will be involved with projects and studies from their conception through to completion.

Responsibilities:
-Invention of new Digital Signal Processing (DSP) algorithms that solve real:world problems within a real:time embedded environment
-Evaluation of new algorithms, involving both verification and validation through Acoustic labs and human factor studies
-Documentation of work, including the production of formal feasibility reports, design documents and Patent applications

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
-Proven experience developing DSP algorithms in MATLAB/Simulink
-Advanced degree (Masters or PhD) with specific Digital Signal Processing, Acoustics, Psychoacoustics, Hearing/Speech Science curriculum or research
-Relevant industry experience
-Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
-Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
-Excellent time management, planning and organisational skills
-Excellent presentation skills

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
-Excellent programming skills in C/C++, preferably in an embedded real:time environment
-Proven ability to work in various audio labs with sophisticated acoustic test equipment and software
-Familiarity with data analysis, statistical and graphical software packages
