Job Overview

Reporting to the operations manager, non:producing assets (NPA), you will be responsible to oversee water services and supervise NPA operations for all NPA assets at Fort Hills. This includes ensuring all assets are being operated in the manner established by both industry and Suncor standards.

Key Accountabilities

:Lead third party contactors within direct area of responsibility in a safe, efficient and cost effective way
:Coordinate requests for services or information, ensuring issues and concerns are resolved
:Organize and oversee building operators performing building operations
:Ensure all building systems are operating in an efficient manner, related safety guidelines are being adhered to, and our policy and procedures are being followed
:Provide expertise in permitting and isolation of building and process systems
:Oversight of work notifications within SAP
:Audit performance of service providers to ensure compliance with contract obligations
:Implement operation programs and strategies
:Monitor KPI performance, address any deviation from targets through the development of corrective actions
:Provide input to the business plan in order to reliably meet or exceed performance expectations in safety, environment, cost and productivity for non:production facilities
Required Qualifications

Experience and Education:

:A minimum of five years of experience working in waste water and water treatment or building operations, or similar industrial experience
:4th class power engineering or facilities management accreditation preferred
:Alberta environment water and waste water operator II certification
:A certificate or diploma in a relevant technical field or equivalent combination of training and operational experience
:High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
:Possess a valid driver’s licence and a clean driving record
Skills and Knowledge:

:Working knowledge of Alberta OH and S regulations
:Knowledge of AEP and AWWA regulations that relate to potable water and sanitary systems
:Previous SAP or other enterprise software experience is an asset
:Ability to read and interpret P and ID’s and process flow diagrams
:Strong commitment to environment, health and safety and ability to lead by example
:Possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
:The ability to develop strong cross:functional working relationships
Working Conditions

:This is a camp:based position at the Fort Hills
:The shift schedule is a seven days on/ seven days off rotation
