Rogers Creative is seeking a Creative Director to lead a group of passionate artists that work on some of the most exciting brands in Canada. As a Creative Director, you are charismatic, smart and committed to producing high:quality experiences. Were looking for a crazy:talented individual who continuously inspires, directs and mentors their creative team and those around them. The right candidate must have a well:rounded understanding of design, conceptual strategy, and usability practices.The role will lead a team that builds creative for our diverse offering of media brands in publishing and television (Chatelaine, Today’s Parent, The Shopping Channel, CITY, FX,Texture, Cityline etc.). Your thirst for quality work, current cultural trends, and all things creative is complimented with an understanding of good design principles and a focus on detail.
We develop engaging, award:winning work for a variety of clients with local and national reach. The role has a focus on print, with a strong understanding of all platforms, specifically in digital and social.

:Must have an almost instinctual grasp of what will work when branding a client or developing a marketing plan and understand what creative concept will play well in the market.
:Understands the data presented to them and keeps track of market trends that sell more products.
:Has a strong ability to keep deadlines on track and creative teams organized.
:Directs brand consistency through building ofguidelines and consistency documents.
:Has a working knowledge of photography, typography, and other printing techniques.
:Directs activities for professional development of organizational team members, conducting creative workshops for staff members, implementing corrective strategies in promotional activities, and recommending promotion of the team members based on their productivity.
:Manages external agents like photographers, printers, freelancers, web developers, etc., and coordinating them according to the work of art directors, copywriters, and other post production workers.
Education and Work Experience:
:10+ years of professional experience creating campaigns, branding and with a strong understanding and foundation in design/art fundamentals.
:Ability to problem solve on an analytical level.
:Have led large campaigns that stretch across multi:platform.
:Ability to ideate and generate new ideas and be able to execute on them.
:Has experience leading a team of designers and developers.
:Stellar portfolio demonstrating solid experience.
:Collaborative, self:motivated, professional.
:Strong communication skills.
:Insane attention to detail.
:Experience working closely with development and production teams both internally and externally.
:Support the other Creative Directors on creative input and design execution.
