Role Summary/Purpose: The Strategic Marketing Intern will lead regional growth opportunity effort for Power and Water, from opportunity identification to opportunity definition and business case development, while partnering with the GGO regional growth leader and regional Power and Water P and L leaders and stakeholders to ensure alignment of growth initiative prioritization, resource allocation and ownership of key actions and deliverables.

Essential Responsibilities:
: Design and execute Voice of Customer (VOC) engagements, industry/vertical analyses and utilize primary/secondary market research (market size, industry data, policy inputs, VOC results, segmentation studies, market position/ penetration analyses) to define and influence the prioritization and pursuit of select growth opportunities.

: Lead strategic marketing’s support to Key Accounts team in the region, including design and execution of key account deep dives and design of key account growth programs.

: Strengthen P and W’s market analytics capabilities in MENA to enable P and W Commercial teams better understand their market space, competition, regulatory changes impacting the business and have better view of pipeline of opportunities especially within Distributed Power, PGP/PGS, Renewables and Water.

: Lead design and implementation of country deep dives and sectoral analytics and opportunity identification for DP, PGP/PGS, Water and Renewables to a) identify and size new market opportunities, b) design go:to:market strategies and c) lead development of pilot projects.

: Form and develop strategic partnerships with project developers, system integrators, financial institutions, project lenders and EPCs with objective of strategically positioning GE for specific opportunities.

: Partner with GGO and Power and Water stakeholders and key organizations and decision influences to support customer alignment and growth acceleration efforts.

: Develop and deliver leadership updates and management presentation related to regional growth programs and priorities.

Qualifications/Requirements:
: Currently in a Bachelors Degree program in Business Administration, Finance or Engineering

: Ability to quickly adapt to working within a global, matrix organization.

: Verbal and written proficiency in English and local language of base location.

: Solid understanding of MENA’s power and water infrastructure sector and issues around this sector including technology, government policy and project finance.
