Based in Thunder Bay, you will align and support the production teams to enable them to perform in accordance with overall goals and targets, especially in terms of safety, productivity, quality and cost. You will also ensure standardized work and engage open bi:directional communication, team empowerment and best practice sharing across teams. This role is responsible for communicating/coordinating any changes to policies, plans, and emergency response procedures in order to support safe system operations.

In your role you will:

: Be responsible for issuing assessments on activities occurring within your sector;
: Maintain quality control within company quality and contractual guidelines;
: Evaluate and improve methods on a continuing basis;
: Assign work crews to maximize production within budget guidelines;
: Anticipate needs for parts/materials/tools and follows up to ensure availability when required;
: Liaise regularly with upstream and downstream workstations, Methods, Engineering and other departments, to ensure coordination of tasks/activities;
: Review on regular basis, all drawings, process sheets, shop orders, budgets and schedules pertaining line stations;
: Validate with Methods appropriate production sequence and manpower for tasks required in station/area;
: Promote training for improving/increasing skill within your team;
: Maintain discipline and direct work force in a manner consistent with company policies;
: Encourage team work and empowerment of production employees and team leaders.


As our ideal candidate:

: You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or in a related field;
: You cumulate three (3) to five (5) years of experience in a relevant role;
: You have experience in the implementation of process improvement utilizing Kaizen principles;
: You have knowledge/experience on the following:

: Manufacturing processes, tools, documents and IT systems;

: Health, Safety and Environment, Bombardier Operating System with focus on Team Concept;

: Manufacturing and quality processes and understanding of interfacing functions in the project;

: Shop floor management tools and methods and Value stream analysis;

: Your leadership and communication skills are strong;
