Role Summary/Purpose: As a part of GEs new Digital business, join our team to deliver the consulting services and real time predictive analytics to our customers that eliminate unplanned downtime, prevent equipment failure, and increase performance in some of the world’s most important industries. Essential Responsibilities: In the role of Lead Engineer, you will provide Engineering expertise to complete GE Digital predictive analytic projects. This role is responsible for the implementation/deployment of software by analyzing the equipment (or processes) to be modeled, model building, software configuration, quality assurance, project go:live, and transition to monitoring. Additional responsibilities include communication with 3rd party vendors and other GE organizations. The Lead Engineer will also provide technical leadership/mentoring to personnel supporting the assigned projects.

: Lead and complete projects on:time and on:budget.

: Use Subject Matter Expertise to identify components of Electrical Power Generation Equipment or Oil and Gas Equipment, and map those components to Proficy SmartSignal Software.

: Working knowledge of interpreting piping and instrumentation diagrams (P and IDs) and process flow diagrams, in Power Generation equipment, Oil and Gas, or Mining industries.

: Use Proficy SmartSignal software to design and build models to diagnose equipment failures and performance problems

: Configuration of the Proficy SmartSignal software, and mentoring others

: Collaborate with other GEIP software groups to provide one GE solution to customers (as defined in project scope)

: Effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with team members and customers as an inclusive leader, supporting pre:sale strategy, Services consulting efforts, and project execution

: Proactively solve problems, breakdown barriers, and implement solutions utilizing the collective skills of the team, and other GE divisions.

: Foster strong working relationships with the monitoring team (GE or customer), Globalcare, and IT.

Qualifications/Requirements:
: Bachelors degree in engineering (Control and Automation, Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Chemical, Process, Mining and Metallurgical) from an accredited university or college

: Minimum 3 years of experience in Mining and Metal, Power Generation, Chemical or Oil and Gas industries

: Ability and willingness to travel from 25 to 50 of the time depending on project location.

: Fluent verbal and written communication skills

: Advanced verbal and written communication skills in English

: Analytics background and practical experience in one or more of the following: industrial automation process monitoring, PID Control Loop performance monitoring and tuning, APM (asset performance management), Cybersecurity, Process Optimization, Advanced Process Control, Model Predictive Control, process modeling, data mining, mining and metals equipment, MES applications, historian (PIMS) applications, industrial instrumentation, condition based monitoring.
