The position of Manager, Regulatory Reporting, will be primarily responsible for the management and oversight of all aspects of financial regulatory reporting for Rogers Bank (Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions, Bank of Canada, Statistics Canada and Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation, if necessary). These responsibilities include the governance of the overall process, including monitoring of all Rogers Bank compliance with filing requirements and meeting monthly, quarterly and annual filing requirements for the Bank. In addition, the role has responsibilities for the following processes: Cash Management, External Audits and Capital Expenditures.

This position reports to the Director of Finance, Rogers Bank.

Core Responsibilities:

The position oversees the day:to:day operations, handling most initiatives and issues, while escalating more significant items for discussion and resolution.

Regulatory Reporting

:Ensure all regulatory returns are filed accurately and correctly within prescribed timelines for monthly, quarterly and annual OSFI financial returns
:Update OSFI filing schedule and ensure all proper process documentation exists
:Continuously monitor regulatory communications to ensure most up:to:date requirements are implemented
:Analyse new regulatory requirements, interpret their impact on the Bank’s regulatory reporting, change and project manage the process to implement new or enhanced returns
:Stay up:to:date on accounting requirements and assess impact of new requirements on the regulatory reporting
:Participate, as required, in accounting initiatives impacting financial regulatory filings and reporting
:File OSFI non:financial returns other than organizational changes (i.e. Audited Financial Statement, Report of Conduct Review Committee, and Annual Corporate Certification)
:Submit appropriate filings to the Bank of Canada
:Submit Annual Attestation to Canadian Payment Association
:Monitor organization changes and complete OSFI corporate returns to reflect changes
:Peer review ICAAP document and ensure alignment with OSFI filings
:Help facilitate the development and roll out of IFRS 9 new reporting requirements and on:going changes to processes and reporting templates for full implementation
:Prepare the monthly and quarterly reports/models to ensure IFRS requirements are met and in compliance with regulatory expectations
:Develop a comprehensive report of the Bank’s related party transactions and provide input to the Board reporting on material arrangements
:Work with RCI to ensure proper insurance and Financial Institution Bond coverage
:Submit compliance reports to OSFI as required (reports 525 and 590)
:Work with RCI to automate regulatory report submission process by utilizing BI tool
:Maintain relationship with various regulators, key stakeholders (e.g. Canadian Banker’s Association) and other similar:sized financial institutions

Cash Management

:Monitor daily bank funding status and escalate to Director, Finance if there is a potential shortfall
:Set up daily wire settlements to MasterCard and ensure payments are released on time
:Update actual daily cash inflow and outflow for monthly cash forecast and provide to Treasury
:Provide detailed bank transactions and download monthly bank statement to facilitate cash flow forecast and review of bank reconciliation


:Stay up:to:date on accounting pronouncements and requirements (IFRS)
:Prepare Basel 3 Pillar 3 Disclosure document and ensure alignment with OSFI filings
:Coordinate all activities related to interim KPMG financial information compilation
:Coordinate all activities related to annual KPMG year:end external audit, including information requests
:Prepare year:end financial statements and notes disclosure
:Coordinate Internal Aud
