Brevco Services requires Network Control Center (NCC) Operator in support of United Nations in Valencia, Spain.
Language: : Fluent in spoken and written English, internationally recognized Certificate equivalent for at least B2 level or native/fluent language declaration have to be provided.
Working Hours: : The work shall be performed in shifts on working days and on weekends from Monday to Sunday 24/7.
Working Location: : The work shall be executed at the Network Control Centre (NCC) located in Valencia, Spain.
The project should provide support to The Service for Geospatial, Information and Telecommunications Technologies (SGITT) facilities in Valencia, which provide IT services to UN field missions and other UN organizations.
The SGITT requires on:site round:the:clock 24/7 Network Control Center (NCC), located in Valencia that provides all Tier 1 Support and Event Monitoring services for SGITT Telecommunications and Data Centre infrastructure and associated active equipment.
The NCC Valencia acts as the single point of contact for SGITT customers and will handle all incidents related to the provided services. Its primary aim is to monitor and restore all services to the users as quickly as possible.
The NCC Operator shall have the following responsibilities:
Event Management, monitoring of the infrastructure and taking actions for resolution of anomalies. Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management and Availability Management. Providing Tier 1 support for all incidents either detected by monitoring or reported by users and causing an effective or predicted unavailability of parts of the infrastructure. Identify, resolve or escalate notifications of events that may affect the availability of electronic systems or network. Coordinate the resolution of incidents when several workgroups or parties are involved. Monitor the efficiency of the IM process for the effective resolution of on:going incidents and take action to ensure a timely closure of support cases. Report any condition pertaining to existing incidents or to the state of the monitored infrastructure which may result in an effective or future problem. Report on controlled changes to the infrastructure. Service Level Management: maintain a set of operating level agreements which covers the operation and support of the infrastructure. Analysis and documentation on predefined workflow processes and monitoring. In case the NCC Operators need their support the NCC Supervisors should act as first level of escalation and the NCC Manager as a second level of escalation.
Essential Skills and Experience
Minimum 1 year of telecommunications and computing expertise in addition to Service Management experience.
Essential Professional Certificates
Foundation ITIL v3 certification. Cisco CCNA certificate
Desirable Skills and Experience
Relevant professional experience of more than 5 years will be considered as an advantage. Knowledge and experience with the following tools and technologies will be considered as advantage:
: HP: HPOV NNM, HP Service Manager, Business Service Management, HP Sitescope).
: Cisco: Cisco Secure Server ACS TACACS, Ciscoworks Syslog, Netflow.
: VMWare: VM Ware console, VMWare vSphere, VMWare View Administrator.

Desirable Professional Certificates
Intermediate or Expert level ITIL Service management certification.
