As a Systems Analyst you will be responsible for administrating and maintaining an environment of windows and UNIX/Linux:based systems on a 3 or 4 week on:call rotation. This role reports to the OSS Network Systems Manager at the Rogers Park Brampton Campus. We work in an exciting fast pace environment where you will work hand and hand with L1, L2 and NOC partners to trouble shoot and resolve system and applications issues. Responsibilities of this role include:

:Communicate with internal customers to ensure tickets are updated and closed in a timely manner
:Maintain a complex network of more than 1000 UNIX/Linux/Windows servers and VMs
:Troubleshoot application, hardware and software issues spanning various operations systems and hardware.
:System Administration tasks, backups and system monitoring.
:Performance tuning of the systems to achieve optimal performance.
:Support of over 20 OSS vendor and in:house applications
:Create/Delete accounts


:We are looking for five years of previous system administration experience
:Possess strong knowledge of Oracle/Sun Solaris, Unix Sys Admin Level, HP:UX, as well as Windows
:Knowledge in VSphere and virtual machines
:Familiar with these technologies: LDAP, DNS
:Knowledge of HP Pillar and Oracle SAN and NAS
:possess a working knowledge of IP Technology
:Experience in supporting Ericsson and Huawei OSS is a definite asset.
:Ability to solve technical issues quickly and independently.
:Ability to automate systems administration tasks.
:Ability to document issues with the application reported by end:users and work with vendors for resolution
:Work with various internal groups for troubleshooting outages (NOC, IP:Core, IP:Edge, vendor and Engineering
