The Shopping Channel, a division of Rogers Media, is seeking a Senior Analystto join the Reporting and Analytics team.This team is responsible for reporting on key business metrics and performing adhoc quantitative analysis. This role will report the Director, Business Innovation and Analytics. Key to this role is an inquisitive demeanour, analytical mind and a passion to learn the retail business.
:Create reports that provide operational transparency (e.g., daily product results)
:Automate manual reports/processes to make day:to:day operations more efficient
:Complete adhoc quantitative analysis to support business decision making
:Support quarterly and annual budgeting/forecasting processes
:Bachelors Degree in Business, Engineering, Math, Computer Science or Finance
:Self:starter, highly motivated and can complete projects with minimal supervision
:Proven ability to work collaboratively with large groups and lead cross functional teams
:Advanced analytical thinking; able to synthesize and summarize large volumes of data
:Superior Excel; SQL/Access/SAS knowledge an asset
:Creative outlook and flexible thinking; handles new challenges with a positive approach
:Extreme attention to details and outstanding organizational skills
