The Opportunity

Were looking for a passionate, results:oriented Process Engineer to join our Manufacturing Team. In this role you will be responsible for providing process improvement recommendations and support to the Printing and Finishing Teams, with the overall goal of improving performance related to safety, product quality, productivity and cost reduction.

Key Responsibilities

:
Working on a project basis, provide support to the process owners and their teams to improve overall performance within established timeframes

:
Act as a resource (SME) to the manufacturing group, providing leadership, training and guidance in the use of problem:solving and continuous improvement methodologies

:
Work with personnel in the various plants and departments to identify and implement industry best practices throughout the organization

:
Remain knowledgeable of the latest industry trends and developments by attending trade events and training sessions : use that knowledge to make recommendations to improve or optimize existing processes and manufacturing platforms

:
Participate in the development and testing of new processes and materials, and in the development of new products

Qualifications

:
B.Sc Degree in a related Engineering discipline (mechanical, manufacturing, industrial, chemical etc.) combined with a minimum of (5) years experience in a manufacturing environment in a continuous improvement role

:
Specific knowledge of and experience implementing Lean and Six:Sigma methodologies is preferred

:
General knowledge of the technologies and equipment used in the Print and Converting industries

:
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

:
Experience providing training on continuous improvement processes and procedures

:
Strong problem:solving and analytical abilities

:
Proven ability to work collaboratively within a project team

:
Exemplary planning, prioritizing and organizational skills to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines

:
High Proficiency using MS Office Suite

:
Ability to travel within Canada / USA
