Project Overview:
Bechtel and Westinghouse Electric Company have partnered to deliver the first AP1000 nuclear power reactors in Poland for our customer, the Polish Entity Polskie Elektrownie Jadrowe (PEJ). Bechtel will be the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractor for the project. As the EPC, our responsibilities will include providing the design for the Turbine Island and Balance of Plant as well as the construction of the entire facility.

This position is subject to U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) regulation 10 CFR Part 810, which governs the transfer of hardware, materials, and technology to support the construction and operation of commercial nuclear power plants overseas.
Job Summary:
The BIM / VDC (Virtual Design and Construction) Engineer is responsible for coordinating digital project delivery and ensuring that engineering, schedule, and construction information is effectively integrated within the projects digital environment. The role focuses on managing and coordinating 3D models, BIM processes, project data, and 4D planning activities to support efficient project execution.
Working closely with engineering, project controls, procurement, construction, and client teams, the BIM / VDC Engineer ensures that design models, project schedules, and project information remain aligned throughout the project lifecycle. The position also supports the implementation of BIM standards, the Project Information Model (PIM), and other digital tools that enable a data:driven approach to project delivery.
This role is best suited for candidates with experience in BIM, 3D model coordination, engineering design, construction planning, or multidisciplinary project coordination who enjoy working at the intersection of engineering, technology, and project execution.
Major Responsibilities:

Support the implementation of Bechtel’s Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) strategy and contribute to the successful digital delivery of the project.

Develop and maintain4D construction simulations by integrating 3D engineering models with project schedules to visualize construction sequencing and project progress.
