Project Overview:
Bechtel and Westinghouse Electric Company have partnered to deliver the first AP1000 nuclear power reactors in Poland for our customer, the Polish Entity Polskie Elektrownie Jadrowe (PEJ). Bechtel will be the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractor for the project. As the EPC, our responsibilities will include providing the design for the Turbine Island and Balance of Plant as well as the construction of the entire facility. This is a one:of:a:kind opportunity, and we are looking for the talent that will help expand Poland’s nuclear base and build a strong and long:lasting energy future for generations to come. This position is subject to U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) regulations at 10 CFR Part 810 (Part 810), which govern the transfer of hardware, materials, and technology to support the construction and operation of commercial nuclear power plants overseas.
Job Summary:
The Employee/Labor Relations Representative plays a key role in fostering effective communication and collaboration between project management, subcontractors, and craft professional personnel to maintain a respectful, inclusive, and productive work environment.
The representative will ensure compliance with Polish labour law and contribute to cross:functional initiatives, while supporting workforce planning, engagement strategies, employee services including accommodation and transport and help resolve workplace issues efficiently and fairly.
Major Responsibilities:

Support the implementation of the project’s labour relations strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational and project:specific goals.

Stay current with Polish employment legislation, including construction:specific labour codes and foreign worker regulations
:
Advise on lawful recruitment practices and employment contract requirements to ensure compliance and consistency across all hiring activities.
:
Foster collaborative relationships with Polish government agencies, labour representatives, and project stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance and alignment on labour:related matters throughout the project lifecycle.

Assist in the recruitment, selection, and employment processes for craft professionals, including the mobilization and onboarding of both directly hired and subcontractor personnel.
