Project Overview:
Bechtel and Westinghouse Electric Company have partnered to deliver the first AP1000 nuclear power reactors in Poland for our customer, the Polish Entity Polskie Elektrownie Jadrowe (PEJ). Bechtel will be the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractor for the project. As the EPC, our responsibilities will include providing the design for the Turbine Island and Balance of Plant as well as the construction of the entire facility. This is a one:of:a:kind opportunity, and we are looking for the talent that will help expand Poland’s nuclear base and build a strong and long:lasting energy future for generations to come. This position is subject to U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) regulations at 10 CFR Part 810 (Part 810), which govern the transfer of hardware, materials, and technology to support the construction and operation of commercial nuclear power plants overseas
Job Summary:
The Field Construction Planner will help lead construction related planning and scheduling analysis and control activities expected to occur during the EPC phase of the project including: Engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) schedule development, maintenance, monitoring, impact identification, and recovery planning. EPC phase related reporting and analysis including P6 schedule quality metrics. Support EPC phase planning studies, forecasts, problem solving exercises. The position will initially be based on the site and the Gdansk project office.
Major Responsibilities:
:Leads schedule development, data analysis, issue resolution, and improvement efforts.
:Leads efforts to establish and communicate milestones for the project.
:Reviews scheduled work activities to ensure their support of project milestones.
:Reviews schedule resource loading and levelling and all bulk commodity design and purchase release curves.
:Ensures open communication with other organizations to support schedule maintenance and reporting.
:Identifies alternatives for schedule improvement for discussion and/or decision.
:Ascertains that the correct procurement scope of work and the project execution plan are reflected on all schedules.
:Integrates interdisciplinary EPC schedule procurement requirements and constraints to establish logical work sequences for assigned disciplines or specialties.
