Senior Accountant : Statutory and Tax
As we continue to expand our global finance operations in Kraków, we are looking for an experienced finance professional to take end:to:end ownership of accounting, statutory and tax processes for selected legal entities.
This role is ideal for someone who combines hands:on accounting with statutory and tax expertise, while also acting as a subject matter expert : supporting team members, coordinating statutory audits, and driving improvement initiatives.

This role plays a key part in ensuring high:quality accounting, statutory and tax reporting for assigned entities, in line with local regulations and group requirements.
Main responsibilities include:

Take end:to:end ownership of accounting and reporting processes for 1:2 assigned entities

Prepare statutory financial statements (IFRS or local GAAP) and lead statutory audits
:
Ensure accurate and timely tax compliance (CIT, VAT, WHT) in collaboration with external advisors

Act as a subject matter expert and key point of contact in statutory and tax reporting, supporting team members in resolving complex issues

Execute period:end closing activities, including reporting and reconciliations, ensuring high:quality and timely delivery

Perform and maintain internal controls within Compliance and Reporting
:
Collaborate with Financial Controllers on accounting, reporting, and process improvements
:
Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and optimize processes, including through the use of AI tools
:
Participate in projects and implement continuous improvement initiatives
:
Manage relationships with external service providers (e.g., tax advisors, statutory auditors)
:
Maintain and update process documentation for assigned entities
Your future team
As our Senior Accountant : Statutory and Tax, you will be part of Accounting to Reporting team that consists of around 12 people. A2R team is part of A2R department that is responsible for accounting and group, statutory and tax reporting processes delivered to over 50 entities around the world.
What you bring to the team
Minimum 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience

Strong GL accounting knowledge including IFRS knowledge

Experience with preparing financial statements under local accounting standards or IFRS

Experience in coordinating audits or working with external stakeholders
:
Relevant practical experience with preparation of tax computations and tax filings (CIT, VAT and WHT); a knowledge of deferred tax calculations will be an asset
:
English at B2/C1 (another European language is welcome)

Knowledge of SAP and MS Office
:
ACCA/CIMA is an asset
