Project Overview:
Bechtel and Westinghouse Electric Company have partnered to deliver the first AP1000 nuclear power reactors in Poland for our customer, the Polish Entity Polskie Elektrownie Jadrowe (PEJ). Bechtel will be the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractor for the project. As the EPC, our responsibilities will include providing the design for the Turbine Island and Balance of Plant as well as the construction of the entire facility. This is a one:of:a:kind opportunity, and we are looking for the talent that will help expand Poland’s nuclear base and build a strong and long:lasting energy future for generations to come. This position is subject to U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) regulations at 10 CFR Part 810 (Part 810), which govern the transfer of hardware, materials, and technology to support the construction and operation of commercial nuclear power plants overseas.
Job Summary:
In this role, you will manage the organization and direction of project construction activities and oversee total construction activities including work performed by subcontractors and direct hire craft professionals. Supervision of discipline specific construction licensed professionals and field engineers. Your daily job duties will ensure project operations are compliant, safe, timely, within scope and budget, and clients are satisfied.
Major Responsibilities:
– Coordinates construction activities including actions of Bechtel, subcontractors, suppliers.
– Client of an entry in the construction diary regarding the suspension of construction works due to their performance contrary to
– the design requirements and implementation of recommendations are entered into the construction diary.
– Reporting to the Client for inspection or acceptance of completed works that will be covered or inaccessible and ensuring that
– the tests and checks of installations, technical devices and equipment required by law or agreed in the contract are carried out
– before the building is reported for acceptance
– Preparation of as:built documentation
– Notification of the building for acceptance with an appropriate entry in the construction journal and participation in the
– acceptance activities and ensuring the removal of the defects found, as well as providing the Client with required notification
